Test video shot on an iPhone

I've had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember and have been running my own photographic business for many years (www.photolinkimages.co.uk). This also carries over into my personal interests: I love the great outdoors and enjoy nothing better than to be outside taking photos (www.mike-mcennerney.smugmug.com) and combining this with my hobbies of Yoga, cycle touring, camping, backpacking, canoeing and just being out in the wilds, or as the Australians say "beyond the black stump" farther into the outback than the city lights.

  1. I didn’t realise such good shots could be made on an I-phone. I will have to have more confidence and try. BTW great to meet you and Chris. I hope your Hebrides trip goes well.

    • Hi Brenda, yes, it was good to meet you and your husband at the Cycle Touring Festival. It was a great weekend, wasn’t it! The iPhone 6+ is particularly good for video as it has a stabiliser that stops your shots from wobbling around! I made an error in uploading the video to the blog and clicked the wrong button, so it’s not as good a quality as it could have been. Unfortunately, we had to pull out of our Outer Hebrides tour as the weather was atrocious the day after we arrived, the ferry was cancelled and was on red alert the following day, too. We studied all the weather apps we could get our hands on and in the end decided to abandon the trip in view of the heavy rain that was forecast for the week and into next week and also the strong winds, with gusts of 46 mph. Not great cycling weather! Returned home very disappointed, but hopefully will get the opportunity to try again. Busy planning a trip to warmer climes now!
