The Norman Asturias

This week, I was asked by one of my clients to photograph the LD Lines ferry, the Norman Asturias, which is on a new route that runs from Poole to Santander, Spain. At least I had a nice trip out on the pilot boat and the sun kindly obliged by appearing at the crucial moment. (A working photographer’s life can be really hard at times!)

I've had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember and have been running my own photographic business for many years (www.photolinkimages.co.uk). This also carries over into my personal interests: I love the great outdoors and enjoy nothing better than to be outside taking photos (www.mike-mcennerney.smugmug.com) and combining this with my hobbies of Yoga, cycle touring, camping, backpacking, canoeing and just being out in the wilds, or as the Australians say "beyond the black stump" farther into the outback than the city lights.

  1. Cant help thinking you missed at trick there Mike. Surely a crossing to Spain and back would have provided you with more photo opportunities. Great photo by the way.

  2. Following our chat about this new route I checked it out….you were right, it’s vehicles only…no good for us cyclists I’m afraid…
